Oliver Som

Oliver Som is an experienced academic and researcher with a robust background in innovation management and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as the Head of the Research Area "Entrepreneurship" at Management Center Innsbruck since January 2016, Oliver Som also holds the position of UNESCO Chair in Futures Capability for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and coordinates studies in innovation management, entrepreneurship, and technology management. Previously, Oliver Som was at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, where responsibilities included leading the Business Unit "Industrial Innovation Strategies" and working as a senior researcher. Oliver Som earned a PhD in innovation strategies of non-R&D performing firms from Europa-Universität Flensburg and a Magister Artium in Political and Social Science from the University of Stuttgart.
