Matt Whitton

Matt Whitton has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Matt started their career at UMB Fund Services in 2004 and worked as a Mutual Fund Administrator II. Matt was responsible for daily accounting, annual reporting, expense analysis, SEC filing, and compliance testing. Matt also coordinated audits with external auditors.

In 2007, they joined US Bank as a Business Analyst. Matt gathered requirements for reports, performed report testing, and implemented software upgrades.

In 2010, they moved to Robert W. Baird & Co. and served as a Business Analyst and Agile Team Member. Matt played a pivotal role in introducing and developing the scrum methodology at Baird. Matt also facilitated requirements management and quality assurance for various projects.

In 2012, they joined Centare as the Managed Services Team Lead. Matt formed a team to efficiently manage support requests for applications and ensured reliable revenue stream. Matt also worked as a Product Owner, using Agile Methodologies to manage full life-cycle development of projects.

From 2015 to 2016, they worked at Thomson Reuters as a Scrum Master. Matt facilitated the application of the Scrum framework, coached teams, advised management, and studied the use of Kanban.

From 2016 to 2020, they served as a Senior Business Analyst at Baird. Matt led the BA for Baird Online, presented on Agile and User Experience topics, and influenced training initiatives as part of the Agile Center of Excellence.

Currently, since 2020, they hold the position of Director of Product at Management Research Services, Inc.

Matt Whitton completed their undergraduate studies at Marquette University from 1998 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Information Technology. Matt furthered their education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2004 to 2007, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Financial Analysis. In terms of certifications, Matt Whitton received the Professional Scrum with User Experience I certification from Scrum.org in July 2022. Matt also holds certifications in Professional Scrum Developer (obtained in February 2013) and Professional Scrum Master (obtained in January 2012) from the same institution. Additionally, they are a Certified Business Analysis Professional from the IIBA, although the specific date of certification is not available.
