Rachel Tsang

Rachel Tsang is a highly experienced professional with a significant background in policy and strategy across various government departments and organizations. Currently serving as a Board Member at Manchester Digital since July 2023, Rachel has been with the Government Digital Service since April 2019, holding multiple deputy director roles, including identity operations and GOV.UK. Previous positions include head of gender strategy at the Government Equalities Office and senior policy advisor at HM Treasury, among others. Rachel also contributed to academia as a lay member of the University Council at the University of Leeds and as a graduate teaching assistant at the London School of Economics. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Government and an MSc in Political Theory from the London School of Economics, complemented by a BSc in International Relations.
