Carlo Frondaroli

Carlo Frondaroli brings in 30 years of experience in international business, mostly serving as a Senior Finance Executive in the technology, telecoms and consumer electronics sectors, with additional senior roles in operations, sales and strategy. He has also held Non-Executive Director and Board Advisory positions.

Carlo has been financially and operationally accountable for large multi-national businesses at Nokia, where he was, amongst others, Greater China Chief Financial Officer, Vice-President Finance for Eastern Markets and Vice-President Finance for Global Markets and Operations. Subsequently, at Lenovo, he headed its Mobile Business Group Global Sales Operations and was EMEA Chief Operating Officer.

Earlier, he co-founded Vertu, the pioneering luxury mobile company and served as Chief Financial Officer in SMEs. Previous non-executive directorships include Nokia Telecommunication Ltd, Nokia China Investment Corp. Ltd, Nokia H.K. Ltd, Vertu Ltd. He was also Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in China.

Carlo resided in multiple countries and managed most geographies, with a particular skew on emerging markets, and specialises in growth, scaling and structuring, and international expansion phases. He now lives in Surrey with his Hungarian wife, two cosmopolitan teenagers and a British cocker spaniel, and in his free time, is passionate about motorcycling, skiing, photography and cultural travelling.

Carlo currently serves as a member of Fairtrade International Finance & Audit Committee, is a non-executive Director at Zone V Ltd, and mentors in Kingston University's Beyond Barriers Program.

Carlo joined the Board of Governors on 11 February 2019 and is a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.
