Waqaas Zafar

Waqaas Zafar is a dedicated sports management professional with extensive experience in talent identification and community sports development. Currently serving as the Primary Delivery Officer and Academy Scout at Manchester United since July 2022, Waqaas focuses on talent recruitment and fostering an inclusive environment for players. As the Founder of Future Sports Club, established in June 2022, Waqaas aims to enhance sports excellence and football development in Manchester. Previous roles include Youth and Sports Coordinator at Community on Solid Ground, where responsibilities included service coordination, fundraising, and staff management, as well as youth work and mentoring. Waqaas' achievements include establishing a Community Gym, receiving a High Sheriff Special Recognition Award, and being named a Gold Award Winner at the Manchester Sports Award. Waqaas holds a BA (Hons) in Sports Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
