Laura Halmela

Laura Halmela serves as the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs at Mandatum since June 2016, overseeing all legal matters and acting as secretary for the Board of Directors. In addition to leading the Business & Investment Legal team, Laura provides legal support for investment solutions, including fund selection and transactions. Previous roles include Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel at Mandatum Group, as well as positions at Borenius as an Attorney at Law specializing in tax, Tamro Finland as a secondee General Counsel, and the Finnish Tax Administration as a Tax Clerk. A member of the Board of Directors for both Mandatum SICAV-UCITS and Mandatum Global Investment Management S.à r.l., Laura Halmela holds a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki and has additional educational experience at Tilburg University.
