Matthew Kunkel

Matthew Kunkel has extensive experience in the field of information security and strategic consulting. Since April 2018, Matthew has held various roles at Mandiant (now part of Google Cloud), progressing from Senior Strategic Consultant to Senior Manager of Strategic Consulting. Prior to this, Matthew served as Deputy CISO at Washington State University from March 2013 to April 2018 and as an Information Security Architect at U.S. Bank. Additional experience includes positions at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Washington Closure Hanford, LLC, KACI General Contractor, and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, where Matthew developed a strong foundation in cybersecurity and IT consulting. Matthew holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Administration (International Business) and Economics (International Development) from Washington State University, along with a study abroad experience at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad.
