Principal at Maner Costerisan

Jim joined Maner Costerisan more than 34 years ago. Since then, he’s been a consistent presence, providing expert accounting and tax guidance to small and midsize businesses and nonprofits across the Great Lakes region. He credits being a good listener and asking questions to his success.

Named to the principal group in 2000, Jim was inspired to pursue an accounting career by a close college friend who also went into public accounting. His father, an insurance agent, also played a defining role in his financial background. Prior to joining Maner, Jim worked as a staff auditor at pwc and served for seven years in the loan department at Michigan National Bank.

Gregarious, outgoing and one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet, Jim has earned the beloved nickname, “Jimbo,” by clients and staff alike. With more than four decades of financial expertise, Jim brings veteran leadership, experience and wisdom to the firm. His down-to-earth style and approachability puts clients at ease from the moment they meet him.
