Brian Collins has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Brian started their career at Newnan Utilities as an IT Manager, where they managed a wide range of IT infrastructure and consistently operated under budget. Brian then worked at General Dynamics Information Technology as a Systems Administrator, providing support for a large network of Army Reservists. At Southeastern Data, they served as a Senior Systems Architect, leading a team and managing server deployments using Red Hat Satellite Server. In their most recent role at Manheim, they worked as a Lead Platform Engineer, specializing in Linux infrastructure standardization and automation using Ansible. Brian also had experience as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they performed VM build and maintenance tasks for multiple teams.

Brian Collins completed their Associate degree in Computer Science from Gordon State College (official). In addition to their formal education, Brian has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Brian obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2020. In May 2016, they became a Red Hat Certified Engineer for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Prior to that, in November 2012, Brian obtained a re-certification as a Red Hat Certified Engineer for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3. In May 2011, they earned the Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Deployment and Systems Management. In May 2010, Brian received the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician certification from Cisco Inc. Earlier certifications include a re-certification as a Red Hat Certified Engineer for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3 in December 2008, a re-certification as a Red Hat Certified Engineer for Red Hat Linux 7.3 in September 2003, and the initial certification as a Red Hat Certified Engineer for Red Hat Linux 6 in August 1999.
