Spencer Rhodes

Spencer Rhodes is a Senior Software Engineer at Manifold since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Carimus from 2016 to 2022, starting as a Software Engineer and later increasing to a part-time capacity and eventually going full-time. During their time at Carimus, they supported a variety of projects for clients and internal work. Spencer also had experience as a Research Assistant and Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at North Carolina State University from 2017 to 2021, where they conducted research on cloud-eroding boundaries and analyzed large datasets. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at NC State University from 2016 to 2016, where they developed a quiz-taking system. Spencer also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at NC State University from 2013 to 2016. Spencer had research experience as well at The University of Kansas and NOAA, where they focused on cloud formations and conducted research as part of internships. Before their career in software engineering and research, they worked at Walgreens as a Photo Specialist, responsible for maintaining photo equipment and ensuring the correct printing of customer photos. Spencer also held the position of Head Admin at HaloTracks.org, where they managed staff members and created new staff positions.

Spencer Rhodes obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Meteorology from North Carolina State University in the years 2011-2015. Later, Spencer pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the same university from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, Spencer received a certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2022.
