Elina Köngäs has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion and design industry. Elina started working at Marimekko in 2010 as a Design and Marketing/ PR Intern. In 2011, they worked as a Studio Assistant Intern at Peter Jensen Ltd. and as a Stylist's Assistant in a project for OKI-NI at Glenn Kitson, Ridley Scott's RSA/ Black Dog Production Company. From 2016, Elina joined Luhta Sportswear Company and held the roles of Assistant Designer at Rukka Sport and Designer at Icepeak. Presently, they are working as a Technical Designer at Manna & Co since March 2022.

Elina Köngäs has a diverse educational background in the field of fashion design. Elina began their studies in 2008 at Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Institute of Design and Fine Arts, where they pursued a Bachelor of Culture and Arts degree in Fashion Design. During their time at Lahti University, they had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program at Arts University Bournemouth in 2011, enhancing their global perspective on fashion design.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Elina continued their education at Aalto University, where they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Fashion Design from 2012 to 2015. This program provided their with in-depth knowledge and advanced skills in the field.

Elina's passion for sustainable fashion industry prompted their to enroll in an open university course at LAB University of Applied Sciences in 2021. The course focused on sustainable fashion industry practices, allowing their to gain further expertise in this area.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Elina is currently working towards a Master's degree in Innovative Design Thinking at LAB University of Applied Sciences, which they commenced in 2020. Their current studies reflect their dedication to exploring innovative approaches to design thinking.
