Shahrouz Yousefi has extensive work experience in the field of technology and research. Shahrouz is the Founder & CTO of ManoMotion, where they focus on 3D hand tracking and gesture analysis for smart devices. Shahrouz has also worked as a Senior Researcher in Media Technology at Linnaeus University from 2015 to 2018. In addition, they have worked at CMTF, Center for Biomedical Engineering at Umeå University, where they specialized in 3D motion analysis and interaction design for medical applications in 2014. Shahrouz has also been involved in research and project supervision in Media Technology and Interaction Design at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2014. Shahrouz completed their PhD in Media Technology at KTH in 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Research and Project Supervisor in Signal Processing at Digital Media Lab, Umeå University from 2010 to 2012. Shahrouz started their academic career as a PhD candidate at Umeå University in 2009.

Shahrouz Yousefi began their education journey in 2007, earning a Master's degree in Robotics and Control at Umeå University. Shahrouz continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Licentiate degree in Media Signal Processing in 2012. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2014, Shahrouz pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, with a focus on Media Technology.
