CTO And Founder at Manta Biofuel

Ryan Powell has extensive work experience, beginning with their role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Dr. Anthony Young's Lab at The Ohio State University in 2003. Ryan then moved on to a Research Technician role in Dr. David Stahl and Dr. Seana Davidson's Lab at the University of Washington in 2006. In 2008, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland. From 2005 to 2006, they held a District Manager position for North America's College Painters in Dublin, Ohio. Finally, in 2014, they co-founded Manta Biofuel.

Ryan Powell attended The Ohio State University from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Microbiology. From 2008 to 2014, they attended the University of Maryland College Park and the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, where they earned a Ph.D. in Algal Biofuels. In 2014 and 2015, they participated in the University of Maryland Ratcliffe Environmental Entrepreneurship Fellowship program (REEF) to study Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
