Jessica Gilliam has worked in various biomedical engineering roles. In 2018, they were a research assistant at the University of Dayton. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a graduate research associate and graduate student thesis at The Ohio State University. In 2021, they joined the Hulse Research Lab at Shepherd Center as a biomedical research engineer. Their work involved researching spinal cord injuries using biomedical technologies, such as Xsens, CED 1401, TMS, TSS, EMG, and Matlab coding software. In March 2022, they started working as a biomedical engineer at Mantel Technologies.
Jessica Gilliam received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton in 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they attended The Ohio State University, where they completed a Master's Thesis in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Biomechanics. In August 2021, they obtained a 3-course certificate in Engineering Project Management from Rice University via Coursera.
