Kyle Benedict

Kyle Benedict has had a diverse work experience. Kyle started working as a Senior Software Engineer at SAIC in 1999 and held the position until 2008. From 2008 to 2015, they worked at Northrop Grumman Information Systems as a Senior Architect and Lead Software Engineer and later as a Chief Architect. At Carnegie Mellon University, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor from 2014 to 2016. In 2015, Benedict became the Executive Vice President of Mantis Security Corporation. In 2020, they joined Kuma Foundation as a Board Member, where they help develop virtual after-school programs for children of low-income and underserved communities to provide access to, and build fluency in STEAM subjects.

Kyle Benedict holds a MSIT degree in Software Engineering Management from Carnegie Mellon University, which they obtained in the years between 2011 and 2014. Kyle previously obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia between 1997 and 2002. In addition to their formal education, Kyle has obtained several certifications, including AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2018, and Certified Insider Threat Vulnerability Assessor Certificate from Software Engineering Institute | Carnegie Mellon University in 2016. Kyle also holds certifications in AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SOA Architect Professional, Software Architecture Professional, and Six Sigma Greenbelt. Kyle also holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², although the date of its acquisition is unknown.
