Austin Klemmer

Austin Klemmer has over a decade of professional experience in design and development. In 2008, they began their career as an intern at Pentagram, where they provided assistance to various teams in the office. Austin then worked as a Design Manager at TVN from 2011-2012, where they worked closely with the CEO and code team to structure and design an online, social-network style English learning program. After this, they worked as a Literature Teacher at Ivy Prep from 2012-2013, where they created and executed curricula for an array of classes. In 2013, they became a Teacher at J Prep, where they developed and executed advanced English language, literature, and college prep curricula. In 2015, they worked as an Intern at the U.S. Commercial Service, where they supported commercial officers and specialists in trade promotion activities. Austin also worked as the Executive Director and Communications Director at Children's Future from 2015-2018, where they organized and executed multi-channel fundraising campaigns, annual events, and individual cultivation strategies. From 2018-2021, they worked as a Creative Director and Sr. Product Designer at Desklight, where they designed and developed educational tools for learners of all types. Austin currently works as a Sr. Product Designer at Mantra Health since 2022.

Austin Klemmer received their BA in English and Art from Skidmore College. Austin then studied Japanese and English at Sophia University. Finally, they attained a Master's Degree in MA International and Intercultural Communications from the University of Denver - Josef Korbel School of International Studies.
