Richard Childers

Richard Childers has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Richard is currently serving as the Senior Vice President Regulation W Officer at Manufacturers Bank since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at BBVA in the USA for eight years as the VP Accounting. Richard also had various roles at BBVA in the USA from 2002 to 2013, including Vice President - Insurance Accounting, Vice President - Mergers and Acquisitions, and Insurance Line of Business Controller. Before joining BBVA, Richard was the Vice President - Controller at Sterne Agee from 1997 to 2002. Richard started their career as a Senior Accountant at UnitedHealthcare and later worked as an Accounting Manager / Senior Financial Analyst at Collateral Mortgage, Ltd. New South Federal Savings Bank. Richard also served as a Senior Accountant at Secor Bank, Federal Savings Bank and as an Accounting Supervisor at Vesta Insurance Inc.

Richard Childers received their High School Diploma from Vestavia Hills High School in 1981. Richard then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which they completed in 1987. Richard continued their education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree between 1989 and 1992.
