Stephen Blewitt

Mr. Blewitt is the Global Head of Private Markets for Manulife Financial Corporation. He is responsible for developing and commercializing Manulife’s private market assets for the benefit of its clients. Manulife’s Private Markets platform offers long-term solutions for its clients across multiple asset classes, including private equity, private credit, timberland, farmland, real estate, infrastructure, and private placement debt.

Mr. Blewitt joined Manulife in 1982 and most recently was the Head of Hancock Capital Management (HCM) where he was responsible for the team’s private equity and private credit investment programs. Prior to joining HCM, he spent 12 years as the team leader and a member of the Industrial and Consumer Products Team of John Hancock’s North American Corporate Finance Group, and six years in John Hancock’s Group Pensions department. Mr. Blewitt received a B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago, and an M.B.A. from the Boston University Graduate School of Management.
