Charlene Zhao

Charlene Zhao is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as Senior Director and Lead Data Scientist at Manulife since March 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at BCG X from October 2019 to March 2024, and Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group during the same period. Charlene also worked as a Data Scientist at Daimler Trucks Asia from October 2017 to September 2019, and held positions at Chappuis Halder & Co. as both Contracting Manager and Senior Management Consultant between 2014 and 2017. Prior roles include Field Consultant at Cigna from March 2012 to February 2014, Wealth Management Trainee at Principal Financial Group, alongside early internships in event coordination and finance. Charlene holds an MA in International Accounting from the City University of Hong Kong and a BSc in Accounting from Anhui University of Technology.
