Desiree D'Souza

Desiree D'Souza currently serves as Assistant Vice President, Tax and Estate Planning at Manulife, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, Desiree held various legal positions, including Manager of Tax Controversy at BDO Canada/BDO Law LLP from September 2021 to June 2022, and Lawyer at Wiebe Wittmann Robertson LLP and LegalShield from January 2020 to August 2021. Additional experience includes serving as In-House Counsel at Wildbunch Software and Associate Lawyer at Watson Goepel LLP, as well as working as a Content Lawyer at LexisNexis Canada Inc. and Document Review Lawyer at Robert Half Legal. Early legal training was completed as a Student at Law at Bell. Desiree obtained an LL.M in Taxation from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Windsor, a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and a Bachelor's degree in Medical Biophysics from Western University.
