Lesley Bishop

Lesley Bishop, MA, SPC is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Lesley currently holds the position of Senior IT Scrum Lead at Manulife, where they have been working since 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Scrum Lead Agile Architecture at the same company from 2022 to 2023.

Before joining Manulife, Lesley worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as a Project Manager at the National Wind Technology Center from 2021 to 2022.

Their previous experience also includes working at Charles Schwab as a Scrum Master from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they supported Agile based SDLC for software development and engineering and worked with various teams and stakeholders.

Lesley also worked at the University of Colorado Denver, where they held different positions from 2008 to 2019. Lesley served as an Assistant Director, overseeing program administration and evaluation, and also as an Interim Director of the Experiential Learning Center, where they focused on strategic planning and evaluation. Earlier in their career, Lesley worked at the Mental Health Center of Denver as a Vocational Counselor, providing vocational rehabilitation services. Prior to that, they held the role of Client Advocate at Community Support Advocates, where they worked with adults with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Illness.

Lesley Bishop, MA, SPC began their education at Iowa State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from 2002 to 2006. Continuing their studies, they attended the University of Colorado Denver from 2007 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology Counselor Education with a specialization in Career Counseling.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Lesley has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include certifications from Scaled Agile, Inc., such as Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist in January 2021, Certified SAFe® 5 Lean Portfolio Manager in September 2022, and multiple certifications in SAFe® 6 obtained in March 2023, including Certified SAFe® 6 Practice Consultant, Certified SAFe® 5 Architect, Certified SAFe® 6 Agilist, Certified SAFe® 6 Architect, and Certified SAFe® 6 Lean Portfolio Manager. Lesley also holds a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) credential from the Scrum Alliance, acquired in June 2019.

Furthermore, Lesley has additional certifications related to career development and counseling. These include the Certified Professional Resume Writer Credential from the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches, obtained in January 2018. Lesley has also acquired the CliftonStrengths Discovery certification from Gallup in June 2017, the Who You are MATTERS! Facilitator certification from CareerCycles in December 2016, and the Holistic Narrative Career Professional (HNCP) Designation, also from CareerCycles, in May 2016. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Strong Interest Inventory (SII) Certified Practitioner and a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Certified Practitioner from CPP, Inc., obtained in March 2013 and January 2013, respectively.
