Sebastian Pariath

Sebastian Pariath has an extensive work experience in the finance and technology industry. Sebastian currently holds the position of Chief Operations Officer & CIO at Manulife, where they started in June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Information Officer at Manulife from December 2021 to August 2022. Sebastian previously worked at John Hancock Financial Services, where they held the role of Chief Operations Officer & CIO from January 2013 to August 2022. Before joining John Hancock, they were employed at Manulife Financial as the Vice President of Transformation Initiatives (Global Services) from January 2012 to January 2013, and earlier as the Managing Corporate Officer - CIO & Chief Operations Officer from May 2005 to December 2011. Sebastian's earlier career includes Deputy CIO positions at Aoba and Prudential Financial from June 2000 to May 2005, and the position of Regional Projects (Trading Floors) Engineering Lead - Asia Pacific at UBS Investment Bank from August 1996 to May 2000.

Sebastian Pariath completed a Diploma in Radio Engineering from St. Xavier's in 1990. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E Hons) degree in Electronics from the University of Mumbai, which they completed in 1993.
