Chris Hales has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Chris began their career in 1993 as an Aeronautical Information Systems Engineer at International Aeradio Limited, where they provided hardware and software support for Unix-based Intergraph systems. From 1994 to 1995, they worked on various temporary assignments as a Server Support specialist. In 1995, they joined Cott Beverages as a Network Support Engineer, managing a European based Banyan Vines network. Chris then moved on to EDS Group in 1996, where they worked as an International Field Support Engineer, assisting with the migration to Windows NT 4.0 and MS-Exchange 4.0 from a Banyan Vines network.

In 1997, Chris worked as a Networks Consultant at Corporate Network Services, specializing in network operating systems support and fault diagnostics. Chris then joined Rothmans in 1998 as a Server Support Specialist, providing support and diagnostics for network operating systems including Banyan Vines and Novell.

From 2001 to 2006, Chris worked at British American Tobacco as a 3rd Line Support Specialist, focusing on server hardware fault diagnostics and support, Windows server support and management, and Citrix administration. Since 2006, they have been with Manx Telecom, initially working as a Storage and Microsoft Specialist. Chris currently holds the position of Customer Solutions Manager.

Chris Hales attended St Georges School in Hong Kong from 1984 to 1989. Later, they pursued higher education at Buckinghamshire New University from 1991 to 1993. No specific degree or field of study was mentioned for either educational experience provided.
