Mikhail Kurzin

Mikhail Kurzin is the current Head of Information Security and CSO at ManyChat. Mikhail has over four years of experience in leading cybersecurity teams and implementing IT security systems.

Previously, Mikhail was a Director at PwC Russia from January 2017 to May 2021. There, they led an 11 member network security group responsible for the implementation and maintenance of 16 countrywide IT security systems. Mikhail supported core IT security procedures such as change control, user access approval, IT security compliance audits, IT security incident response, and vulnerability check. Mikhail also revised main information security policies and standards, established computer forensics internal company direction, and set-up a data leakage protection program. In addition, they took part in SOX, PCI DSS and FCPA audits conducted by the Big Four and conducted IT security audits of branch MTS companies (Armenia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan and India).

Mikhail has many accomplishments, but some of their most notable ones include building one of the biggest Security Operation Centers (SOC) in Russia responsible for IT security incident monitoring, investigation and response; successfully implementing 14 IT security systems; centralized Symantec antivirus management points from 60 to 7 installations; conducting an extensive MTS-India audit that resulted in the hiring of new local management for IT security department and in the allocation of an additional $5 million for IT security; eliminating one type of retail fraud that costed company $200 000 a month; and selected and built a unique team of top professionals.

Mikhail Kurzin has an Executive MBA from London Business School and a certification from (ISC)² in CISSP. Mikhail is currently a business consultant specializing in cybersecurity.

Mikhail Kurzin reports to Mike Yan, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Anton Gorin - Head of Infrastructure, Anastasia Mazilova - Head of Customer Support, and Anna Tutckaia - Head of Marketing.
