Kate Hunter

Kate Hunter has had a varied and successful career since 2014. Kate began their professional journey as a Landscape Designer at Durante Kreuk Ltd, followed by a role as a Freelance Designer at Kate Hunter Design. In 2015, they took on a role as Event Planning and Graphic Design at Northumberland CFDC, and in 2016 they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Guelph. In 2018, they joined Mappedin as a Manager, Map Design, and was later promoted to Map Design Team Lead and Map Designer and Customer Support Specialist. In their current role, they create maps for clients, develops new designs for pilot projects, and explores wayfinding design standards. Kate also provides customer support for the software and products.

Kate Hunter attended the University of Guelph from 2010-2014, where they obtained their Bachelor of Landscape Architecture - BLA. In 2013, they participated in an exchange program at Wageningen University & Research, also in the field of Landscape Architecture. Finally, from 2016-2018, they completed their Master of Science - MS in Capacity Development and Extension at the University of Guelph.
