Quinton Alves

Quinton Alves has a diverse work experience history. Quinton is currently working as a Customer Support Specialist at Mappedin since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Engineering - McMaster University from September to December 2022. Before that, they had another stint as a Teaching Assistant from January to April 2021, where they were engaged in creating solutions, marking tests, and assisting students with the Electrical and Electronics Control Systems course.

In 2019, Quinton worked as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Linergy Manufacturing Inc, where they played a crucial role in launching a new production line. Their responsibilities included collaborating with assembly employees, welders, and machine operators to ensure the production of high-quality parts. During this time, they gained experience in working with suppliers and engaging with customers.

In the past, Quinton also worked as a Line Cook at Emma's Back Porch & Water Street Cooker from June 2017 to September 2018. Additionally, they gained hands-on experience as a Factory Assembly/Electrician Co-op at Air Wise Sales Inc. in 2018, where they focused on learning about manufacturing and assembly processes, reading complex circuit diagrams, and conducting electrical installations.

Quinton's earlier experiences include working as a Merchandiser at Shoppers Drug Mart from May 2015 to June 2017, and as a Newspaper Deliverer at Burlington Post from March 2010 to 2013.

Quinton Alves has a diverse education history. Quinton began by completing their high school education at Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School from 2012 to 2016. Following that, they pursued multiple educational paths simultaneously.

From 2016 to 2020, Quinton attended both McMaster University and Mohawk College. At McMaster University's Faculty of Engineering, they earned their Bachelor of Technology degree in Automotive and Vehicle Engineering Technology Co-op. During the same period, they also studied at Mohawk College and obtained an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology - Automotive and Vehicle Technology. Additionally, Quinton completed a Certificate in Business Management from Mohawk College during this time.

In 2019, Quinton earned an additional certification in "Writing a Business Case" from LinkedIn.

Most recently, from 2021 to 2022, Quinton enrolled in the W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology at McMaster University. Quinton pursued a Master of Engineering Design - M.Eng. Design degree with a focus on engineering.
