Ahmed Mahmood

Ahmed Mahmood is a seasoned research scientist with extensive experience in indoor geo-positioning, asset tracking, and software architecture, currently serving as the Lead Research Scientist at Mapsted since June 2019. Prior roles include Research Lead at the Acoustic Research Laboratory at the National University of Singapore, where substantial research proposals were developed and peer-reviewed publications produced in subsea acoustics and related fields. Ahmed earned a Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National University of Singapore and has held various academic positions, contributing to curriculum development and mentoring students in electrical engineering. Ahmed's earlier experience as an RF Engineer at Motorola Solutions showcased an ability to significantly enhance cellular network performance metrics.
