Mark Scaife

Mark Scaife is a Managing Director & Chief Operations Officer at Mara Renewables Corporation, where Mark also holds the title of Director of Operations and Principal Scientist. Mark serves as a Board Member at Humanativ and Algenuity Ingredients. Prior to their current roles, Mark worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge and as a Senior Research Scientist-Supervisor Metabolic Engineering at Ocean Nutrition Canada. Mark also completed their Ph.D in Genetics at The University of Sheffield after earning a Bsc in Biology from the University of Derby. Throughout their career, Mark has focused on developing new technologies and manipulating micro-organisms for improved production of natural products.
