Fotis Boras

Fotis Boras is an accomplished maritime professional with extensive experience in fleet management and technical operations. Since July 2017, Fotis has served as Fleet Manager at Maran Tankers Management Inc. Prior to this role, Fotis was a Technical Superintendent at TSAKOS COLUMBIA SHIPMANAGEMENT S.A. from July 2015 to July 2017, where responsibilities included overseeing a fleet of tanker ships. Fotis also held the position of Fleet Manager at Transmed Shipping Co Ltd from February 2013 to June 2015, focusing on budget control and vessel operations for bulk carriers. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Engineer at Danaos Shipping Co. Ltd. from August 2005 to December 2012, progressing from 3rd Engineer to Chief Engineer on various container ships. Fotis holds an Engineer’s Degree from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and has furthered education at Ferris State University, MAN PrimeServ Academy, and WARTSILA LAND & SEA ACADEMY in advanced engine control systems and operational training.
