George Tziralis

George Tziralis is a seasoned partner at Marathon Venture Capital since March 2017, managing €100 million in assets while fostering a community of Greek entrepreneurs and technologists. As a partner at Openfund since April 2009, Tziralis has played a pivotal role in supporting technology startups in Greece, investing early in notable companies like Taxibeat and Workable. Additionally, as the host of Open Coffee Greece since May 2007, Tziralis has been instrumental in nurturing the local startup community through monthly meetups. Tziralis founded Askmarkets in 2007, where George served as CEO and introduced one of the earliest prediction market platforms based on their PhD research in Operations Research from the National Technical University of Athens, where Tziralis also completed an engineer’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management.
