Emilia Gianfortoni Manzi

Emilia Gianfortoni Manzi has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Emilia is currently the Director of Internal Communications at Maravai LifeSciences since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they held the positions of Senior Manager of Communications for the materials and structural analysis business and Communications Manager for BioProduction. At UC San Diego Health, Emilia was a Program Manager for Communications and Marketing Outreach for the abdominal transplant service line. Emilia also served as the Director of Latino Engagement at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and as a Project Coordinator at UnidosUS. Emilia's earlier experiences include working as a Research Assistant at ICF International and the New York Academy of Medicine, as well as being a Public Health Policy Fellow at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Through these roles, Emilia gained skills in strategic communications, program management, community outreach, and research support.

Emilia Gianfortoni Manzi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Spanish from Cornell University in 2004. In 2010, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Health Communication from Boston University. Additionally, they completed a Certificate in Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, although the exact dates of this program are unknown.
