Mara Smith is the founder of Inspiro Tequila, LLC, which aims to redefine tequila enjoyment through the creation of additive-free, smooth tequilas. Since January 2020, Mara has been instrumental in establishing this clean tequila brand. In addition to this venture, Mara serves as an investing member at Portfolia since February 2021 and is a founding member of the Marble Collective as of September 2023, a community focused on professional storytelling and connectivity for women. Prior experience includes roles in corporate strategy and business development at McDonald's Corporation (2000-2002) and as an attorney at Mayer, Brown & Platt (1996-2000), specializing in commercial real estate. Mara holds a Doctor of Law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
