Vandana Jagga, CPA, CGA has a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in various management roles. Vandana has served as the Director of Finance at March of Dimes Canada since 2019, where they oversee the budget and financial reporting processes, implements internal controls and financial systems, and provides senior leadership with relevant business insights. Prior to this, Vandana was the Financial Services Manager at March of Dimes Canada from 2018 to 2019, where they successfully transitioned financial processes in-house, improved compliance of accounts payable policies and procedures, and developed strategies to improve team efficiency and productivity. Before that, they held the position of Finance Manager at The Safehaven Project for Community Living from 2017 to 2018, where they developed and maintained accounting policies and procedures and prepared budgets aligned with strategic planning. Vandana also has extensive experience as the Finance Manager at St. Clair O'Connor Community Inc. from 2011 to 2017, where they effectively managed program budgets, increased operational efficiencies, collaborated with auditors during year-end audits, and implemented policies and procedures to streamline operations. Vandana started their career at St. Clair O'Connor Community Inc. as a Supervisor, Finance from 2006 to 2011. Vandana Jagga, CPA, CGA, has a comprehensive education history in accounting and finance. Vandana began their educational journey at Centennial College from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained an Accounting and Programmer Analyst Diploma. Building on this foundation, they then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne, graduating in 2015 with Honors.
During their time at Laurentian University, Vandana also achieved their Professional Designation (CPA, CGA) from CGA Ontario in 2015, specializing in Accounting and Finance.
Aside from their formal education, Vandana has obtained various certifications to enhance their leadership and financial skills. In October 2021, they completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, focusing on resilience, diversity and inclusion, difficult conversation strategies, breaking down silos, innovation readiness, and change leadership. Additionally, they have earned certifications in Collaborative Leadership, Developing Executive Presence, Finance Foundations: Risk Management, and Leadership Mindsets through LinkedIn.
Furthermore, Vandana is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) and holds the title of Certified Professional Accountant.
