Jasmine Zhang has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Jasmine started their career as a Fashion Design Intern at KLS: Kimora Lee Simmons Design, where they assisted with various tasks related to the collection design process. Jasmine then worked as a Customer Associate at Anthropologie for a year before joining Marchesa as a Couture Design Intern. During their time at Marchesa, they gained experience in hand-sewing, fabric manipulations, pattern-making, and other aspects of couture design.
After their internship, Jasmine worked as a Design Freelance at Eleny Couture, where they assisted with archival closet arrangements, fabric manipulations, fittings, and client interactions. Jasmine also had a short freelance role at Christian Louboutin.
Jasmine then joined Monique Lhuillier as an Assistant Designer, where they had various responsibilities such as overseeing trims and prints, assisting with product development, sketching designs, supervising interns, and initiating sustainability efforts for the brand. Jasmine was later promoted to Associate Designer, where they took on additional tasks such as overseeing fabric orders.
Most recently, Jasmine joined Marchesa as a Designer, where they continue to contribute their expertise in the fashion industry.
Jasmine Zhang began their education at St. Francis Preparatory High School from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained an Advanced Regents Diploma. In 2010, they attended the Fashion Institute of Technology for a summer course in Fashion Illustration. The following year, they took a summer course in Pattern-making at the same institution. In 2012, Jasmine participated in the Parsons Summer Intensive Studies program, focusing on Fashion/Apparel Design. From 2013 to 2017, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) with Honors in Fashion/Apparel Design at Parsons School of Design - The New School. During this time, they also pursued a minor in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. In 2016, Jasmine attended Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Womenswear.
