Chris Spensley

Chris Spensley has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the automotive industry. Chris is currently the VP of Automotive Sales at Marchex, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Director of Business Development at Marchex from May 2022 to June 2023.

Before joining Marchex, Chris worked as a consultant and had their own company, CHSpensley LLC, where they provided effective and entrepreneurial business consulting services to clients in the automotive retail industry. Chris started this role in March 2009 and continues to work in this capacity.

From 2018 to 2022, Chris worked at Deloitte as a Coach in Retail Consulting, where they led a cross-functional team responsible for assisting dealers in implementing modern retail processes and improving consumer loyalty.

From 2016 to 2018, Chris served as an Account Executive at Urban Science, managing the relationship between Urban Science and Volkswagen Group of America, focusing on lead management and sales operations support.

Prior to that, Chris was the Head of Operations, North America at Motortrak from 2015 to 2016, where they oversaw day-to-day operations and made process improvements to support the company's expansion in the United States. Chris also served as the Head of Consulting at Motortrak from 2014 to 2016, responsible for developing and deploying consulting teams to drive client-focused success.

Chris also has experience at KPA LLC as a Consulting Manager from 2012 to 2014 and at Dealer.com as an Enterprise Solutions Architect from 2010 to 2012. Chris began their career at JM&A Group as a District Manager in 2002.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated a track record of delivering profitable results, improving operational efficiencies, and providing high-quality consulting services in the automotive industry.

Chris Spensley attended Penn State University from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained a degree in EMET (Mechanical Engineering).
