Megan Folts has over 13 years of experience in the early childhood education and policy field. Megan began their career in 2008 as a Service Desk Associate and Customer Service Lead at Staples. In 2011, they were a Trade Assistant/Intern at the U.S. Commercial Service. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at the Office of Early Learning, Florida Department of Education in various roles, including VPK Policy Analyst, Legislative Affairs Analyst, and Government Operations Consultant. From 2017 to 2022, they were the Director of Programs & Policy and Director of State Policy & Analysis at the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, as well as the Manager of Policy & Program Compliance and Special Projects Liaison. Megan is currently the Director of Programs & Policy at MarcoPolo Learning.

Megan Folts obtained a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) from Florida State University in 2012, majoring in Public Administration and Policy. Megan completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in International Affairs and Political Science from Florida State University in 2010. In 2022, they obtained a Professional Certification in Trauma & Resilience: Level One from Florida State University and a Certified Pre-K Observer for the Classroom Assessment Scoring System CLASS® from Teachstone.
