Dion Phillip's work experience begins in 2014 when they joined AEG as part of the Conversion Crew. In this role, they performed set up and teardown duties for various events, including basketball, hockey, concerts, and family shows. Dion also implemented cost-saving measures by shortening arena conversion time frames and improving efficiency. Dion then moved on to Barclays Center in the same year, where they initially worked as a Facility Staff Carpenter. Dion'sresponsibilities included facility maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, furniture repair, and painting. Dion was later promoted to the role of Retract Specialist, where they specialized in troubleshooting and installing retractable seating units and other arena equipment. Dion's most recent work experience is with the Marcus Graham Project, starting in 2023, where they are involved in sports marketing.

Dion Phillip completed their high school education at James Madison High School from 2008 to 2012, earning a High School Diploma. Dion then pursued further education at Medgar Evers College, CUNY from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Advertising. Dion also obtained several certifications during their education journey. In 2015, they received certification in A92.6 Self-propelled Scissor Lift from EPRO Safety Solutions. In 2017, Dion became a Certified Construction Management Professional (CCMP) from Skanska. Additionally, they hold an ITA Class 1,4,5 Forklift certification from EPRO Safety Solutions, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
