Tyler Theobald

Tyler Theobald is first vice president and general counsel for Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services. Mr. Theobald joined the firm in 2014 as assistant general counsel. He was elected to vice president in 2017, and deputy general counsel in 2018. As general counsel he oversees the entire legal team for Marcus & Millichap.

Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Theobald was an accomplished attorney in San Diego, specializing in employment litigation, business litigation and transaction work with Paul, Plevin, Sullivan & Connaughton LLP. He also served as the elected chair of the Labor & Employment Section of the Bar Association, and has been a finalist for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s In-House Counsel of the Year award.

Mr. Theobald earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Davis.
