Zacharoula Kyriazi

Zacharoula Kyriazi, Ph.D., is a seasoned research professional currently serving as a Research Fellow at MaREI since September 2022. Previously, Zacharoula held the position of Scientific Project Manager at CINEA from March to July 2022 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at CIIMAR from May 2019 to July 2021. Additional experience includes a brief tenure as a Visiting Researcher at the Technion in August 2018 and postdoctoral research at the Hellenic Center for Marine Research from June 2017 to July 2018. Prior roles also encompass doctoral research at the Maritime Institute, Universiteit Gent, from June 2010 to June 2017 and research and marine policy advisory positions at both HELMEPA and MEDSOS. Zacharoula's academic background features a Ph.D. in Marine Sciences from Ghent University, a Master's degree in Natural Resources and Conservation from the University of Ioannina, and a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies from the University of Piraeus.
