Sabra Phillips is the Director of Talent Development at Marek. Sabra has over 17 years of experience in Human Resources, including program development, staffing, talent consulting, and recruitment outsourcing.

Sabra began their career in 1997 as Vice President at Primary Services, where they served as a strategic recruitment and talent solutions partner for Fortune 500 clients in oil and gas, retail energy, engineering, technology and finance.

In their role at Marek, Sabra has partnered with executive leadership on scalable business transformation, including the design of new leadership roles, talent development partnerships, career paths and rewards, competency framework, performance and productivity measures, tools and technology, change management and messaging.

Under their leadership, the company has developed a custom on-site program for a Fortune 500 firm, consulted on the design of a global program, PMO and global policy and process; Additionally, they have delivered unique managed programs for two Fortune 500 energy firms, partnering with senior leadership to achieve business goals, pipeline critical talent, manage talent, reduce legal risk and streamline recruiting operations; Sabra has also been recognized as highest performing supplier for outstanding KPIs over 10 years.

Prior to joining Marek, Sabra spent a year on an HR consulting secondment to a Global Fortune 500 firm where they served as HR Business Partner to divisional leadership. Sabra was responsible for employee engagement rollout, diversity and inclusion plan, awareness training and mitigation of complex people issues.

Sabra has also led outsourced recruiting programs for both a Fortune 250 oil and gas customer and a Fortune 500 customer, developing customized recruiting strategies and allocating resources to meet or exceed hiring goals across multiple business units while reducing cost-per-hire by 50%, cycle time by 30% and increasing hire quality.

Sabra Phillips has a BS in Speech Communication from The University of Texas at Austin and an MS in Occupational Technology - Training & Development from the University of Houston. Sabra also has certification from SHRM in SHRM-SCP and from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in SPHR. Finally, they have certification from CAPA PRO in The Table Group CAPA PRO Member.

They work with Jorge Vazquez - Safety Manager, Brendan Doyle - Division President, Austin, and Phil Nevlud - Division President, Houston. Their manager is Stan Marek, CEO.
