Maurice Plaines

Maurice Plaines is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the academic and athletic sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Scholars Academy and the Director of Scholars Advancement at Emerging Scholars since May 2018, Maurice has been instrumental in coordinating college-bound programs and developing summer curricula. Concurrently, Maurice has also coached lacrosse at Maret School since February 2013 and has held mentoring and coordinating roles at Winners Lacrosse since July 2012. As Vice President of Operations at Fundamentals Academy and President of Momentum Cubed, Maurice has focused on curriculum coordination, client assessment, and evaluation. Previously, Maurice served as the Athletic Director at St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School for over a decade. Maurice holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Brooklyn College and has an educational background from Phillips Academy and the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management.
