Zhong

Zhong Ma has held various roles throughout their work experience. Zhong started their career at Nanjing University as an Associate Professor and Principal Investigator, where they received a grant to study protein engineering. Zhong then worked at the University of Kentucky as a Senior Professional Scientist before moving to the University of Virginia as a Research Associate. Zhong Ma continued their research career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University. Zhong then joined Ra Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they had roles as a Scientist II and Scientist III, before becoming a Sr. Principal Scientist and Group Leader. During their time at Ra Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Zhong Ma also worked at Ra Pharmaceuticals, a UCB company, as a Sr. Principal Scientist and Platform Lead. Most recently, they have been working at Mariana Oncology. Zhong started as a Sr. Director of Discovery Biology before becoming the Executive Director and eventually the VP of Discover Biology.

Zhong Ma earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from Nanjing University, where they studied from 1992 to 1995.
