Mark Staples

Mark Staples has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mark is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Marigold since February 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Campaign Monitor, including Senior Engineering Manager from May 2019 to February 2022, Engineering Manager from August 2017 to May 2019, Delivery Lead from March 2017 to July 2017, and Software Engineer from July 2014 to March 2017. Before their time at Campaign Monitor, Mark worked at Fairfax Media, where they served as a Developer from June 2009 to June 2014, Publishing Technology Developer from January 2008 to June 2009, and Junior Developer from March 2007 to January 2008. Throughout their career, Mark has gained experience in software development, management, and leadership roles, working on a range of projects and technologies.

Mark Staples completed their Bachelor of Information & Communication Technology with a focus on Business Information Systems at the University of Wollongong from 2005 to 2010. Mark furthered their education at Charles Sturt University, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Management in Information Technology from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Mark also earned certifications as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in November 2018 and as a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in 2014.
