Kenerly's earlier experience includes instructing and coaching at the Greensboro swimming association from 2003 to 2016, anchoring the Good Morning Show at WFMY from May 2002 to June 2012, anchoring Good Morning Carolina at WWAY from 1999 to 2002, and serving as a reporter/producer at WJCL from 1997 to 1999. Kenerly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
