Essi Weseri

Essi Weseri serves as the General Counsel at Marimekko since October 2021 and is the co-founder and podcaster of Leadcast, a prominent Finnish business podcast launched in May 2019. Prior to this, Essi held various legal positions at Stora Enso from August 2018 to October 2021, including Lead Counsel for the Packaging Materials Division and Senior Legal Counsel for the Paper Division. Essi's earlier experience includes working as Legal Counsel at Altia Plc from August 2013 to August 2018, focusing on contractual and compliance matters, and as a Senior Associate at Roschier, Attorneys Ltd. from August 2008 to July 2013, specializing in IP and IT law in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Educationally, Essi holds an LLM in Intellectual Property from King's College London and an LLM from the University of Helsinki, complemented by a student exchange at Uppsala University.
