Kari Härkönen

Chief Digital Officer at Marimekko

Kari Härkönen is the current Chief Digital Officer at Marimekko. Härkönen has extensive experience in ecommerce, having served as the Director of Ecommerce at Sanoma Digital from August 2014 to April 2016, and Country Manager Finland at Zalando from January 2013 to July 2014. Prior to that, Härkönen worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company from February 2011 to July 2012.

Härkönen began their career at Sony Spain, Barcelona Technology Centre, where they worked from September 2008 to December 2009 on financial control and restructuring. Kari then participated in Sony's European Graduate Programme, based in Sony Espana S.A. from September 2007 to August 2008, and Sony Europe, UK from September 2006 to August 2007.

In May 2006, Härkönen completed a research project on absolute return currency programmes for SEB.

Kari Härkönen has an MBA from INSEAD, a Msc in Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School, and a BscBA in International Business from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu.

Kari Härkönen reports to Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko, President & CEO. They work with Tina Broman - Chief Supply Chain Officer, Morten Israelsen - Chief Sales Officer , and Tanya Strohmayer - Human Resources Director.
