Tania Weiss has worked in a variety of roles since 1975. Tania began their career as a Post Doc in the Department of Biology and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Chicago. In 1982, they moved to Stanford University, where they worked as a Post Doc in the Department of Biological Sciences. In 1985, they joined the University of California, San Francisco, Department of Dermatology as a Research Assistant. Three years later, they transitioned to the University of California, San Francisco, Department of Medicine, where they served as a Research Assistant until 1995. Tania then became President and CEO of Marin Biologic Laboratories.
Tania Weiss obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1975. Tania also obtained a Master's degree in Environmental Health/Chemistry from the same university in 1970, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology and Chemistry in 1969.
