Sara Bender

Sara Bender is an experienced educator and counselor currently serving as a 7th and 8th Grade Spanish Teacher at Marin Primary & Middle School since August 2021. Sara Bender operates their own educational services since January 2015, offering college application counseling with a focus on essays, high school application guidance, and tutoring in all subjects for elementary and middle school students, as well as Spanish and English tutoring for all levels. Previously, Sara Bender held various teaching and counseling roles including Interim Spanish Teacher at Tamalpais High School, Student Outreach Coordinator and College Counselor at UCSF's Early Academic Outreach Program, and multiple positions at Leadership Public Schools and KIPP Bayview Academy. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Business from the University of Maryland.
