Marine Biological Laboratory
Samantha Porter currently serves as the Scholarly Communications Librarian at the Marine Biological Laboratory, a position held since May 2022, where responsibilities include assisting the Woods Hole scientific community, maintaining publication lists, and collaborating on research information management initiatives. Previously, from January 2014 to May 2022, Samantha held multiple roles at Babson College, focusing on research assistance, information literacy instruction, and managing digital resources as a Research, Instruction & Web Services Librarian. Earlier experience includes a position as a Library Commons Assistant I at Providence College and educational pursuits culminating in a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Simmons University, along with additional certifications and undergraduate education in history from Providence College. Samantha also has experience in underwriting and administrative roles across various organizations before entering the library and information science field.
