Kirsty Crawford

Learning & Community Engagement Manager at Marine Conservation Society

Kirsty Crawford is an accomplished professional in marine conservation and community engagement, currently serving as the Learning & Community Engagement Manager at the Marine Conservation Society since July 2021. In this role, Kirsty oversees restoration project staff focused on native oyster work and manages an internal education team. Prior to this, Kirsty held the position of Volunteer & Community Engagement Manager, where responsibilities included managing volunteers and designing a nationwide Marine Education Roadshow. As the Founder of & another thing and former Senior Project Officer for The Conservation Volunteers, Kirsty has been recognized for contributions to wildlife education and citizen science, earning the TCV 60th Anniversary Green Hero Award in 2019. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from Edinburgh Napier University and ongoing studies in Mental Health with The Open University. Additionally, Kirsty has experience in the performing arts and marketing within cultural organizations in Scotland.
